Having a wild animal like a zebra be up and close personal with your children might strike fear into the heart of most parents. But there’s a drive-through zoo in Huntsville, Alabama, that lets you safely get close to the animals and meet a camel or two. It’s awesome to say the least.
Harmony Park Safari lets people have a unique zoo experience.
Instead of looking at animals through cages…
The animals come to you. And may even take a gander inside your car if they feel like it.
The drive through zoo is filled with friendly animals you can bond with.
The two-mile course is completely open, letting friendly zebras come up to say hello!
Cars are given treats to hand out to the animals.
So, seeing a zebra in your passenger seat is very, very common at this zoo.
The park is a federally licensed nature preserve of free-ranging exotic & endangered animals.
Zebras, zebus, antelope, buffalo, camel, deer and ostriches (among other) freely roam together.
The park uses over 8,000 pounds of grain a month to feed the animals.
Even though they are well-fed, none of the animals will say no to a treat.
In fact, they insist.
All you need to do is get in your car and drive….
And you can be up close with THIS!
According to a user on the zoo’s Yelp page, “This was an awesome experience! Imagine having deer, horses and zebras stick their heads into your car and eating right out of your hands.” Apparently the only downside? Lots and lots of wild animal slobber.
